Terms of Sale – CUBE8 Gallery

All art sold at CUBE8 Gallery AS is transacted on behalf of the individual artist and in the artist's name. CUBE8 Gallery AS acts solely as an intermediary on behalf of the artist.

The artist retains all ownership rights to the artworks until they are sold and payment has been received by CUBE8 Gallery acting as the intermediary.

VAT Exemption for the Artist's (Originator’s) Own Sale of Art:

All artworks in the CUBE8 Gallery collection are sold in the artist’s own name, with CUBE8 Gallery AS acting as the intermediary.

This type of sale is exempt from VAT according to the Norwegian Value Added Tax Act (mva.) § 3-7 (4):

The originator’s sale of their own works of art and copyrights to their own literary and artistic works is exempt from the law. The same applies to such sales through an intermediary in the originator's name.

For you as a buyer of artworks, this means that you are purchasing from the artist/originator, who is regarded as your contracting party, with CUBE8 Gallery acting as an intermediary and facilitator of the sale.

A 5% art fee to BKH (Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond) on sales of artworks over NOK 2,000 will be added to all prices. No other fees apply.
