Trudy Wiegand

Trudy Wiegand was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, and has called Norway home for several decades. She lives with her family in Oslo, where she also maintains her art studio. Trudy studied at Nydalen Art School in Oslo and at Waverley Woollahra Art School in Australia.

Her paintings lie at the intersection of abstraction and figuration—bold, dynamic, and brimming with energy. Her use of color is strikingly original, and the interplay between light and shadow, hardness and softness, gives her work a distinctive and evocative atmosphere.
