Henrik Placht is a renowned Norwegian contemporary artist. His works often explore themes related to human existence, emotions and the balance between harmony and disharmony. His paintings invite the viewer to dive into a world of colors and shapes, where every detail has a meaning and every stroke a story. His artwork has been exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums both in Norway and internationally.

Henrik Placht is educated at the Art Academy in Bergen and Berlin. He has been project manager at the Oslo Academy of Art for the establishment of the Ramallah Academy of Art (International Academy of Art Palestine IAAP). He has assisted artists such as Yoko Ono, Kjartan Slettemark, Malcolm McLaren. In addition, he has worked as an art critic, and has been a guest lecturer and professor at several academies and universities in Europe, at Bezalel Art Academy in Tel Aviv and Columbia University in New York. He has had his works bought by several prestigious institutions and collectors, among the most notable are the Astrup Fearnley Museum, Jane and Marc Nathanson's collection and the International Peace Institute IPI in New York, the National Museum and Christen Sveaa's art collections.

Henrik Placht is also known for his commitment to art's role as a bridge-builder between cultures and society. Among other things, this has led him to the Middle East, where he has contributed to establishing art schools and promoting cultural dialogue through art. Henrik Placht continues to be an important voice in the Norwegian art scene, known for his dynamic and engaging approach to painting. His work challenges and inspires, and his influence extends far beyond Norway's borders.
