Norway's most iconic contemporary artist with an unique and recognizable style.

Pushwagner, Terje Brofos, born in Oslo in 1940, died in 2018. He created an impressive career spanning several decades, characterized by colorful and detailed works that often explore themes such as urbanisation, consumerism and the challenges of modern society. Pushwagner's art invites reflection and challenges the viewer to take a closer look at the underlying structures of modern society. Through his visionary approach, he has created an invaluable legacy as one of the most influential artists in Norwegian history, who continues to inspire and provoke. With his psychedelic, surrealist style and sharp social commentary, Pushwagner has achieved a status as a cult figure within Norwegian art. His works have been exhibited at prestigious venues such as Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo, as well as galleries and museums all over the world. Pushwagner's art career began with the advertising department at the Norwegian School of Arts and Crafts, where he studied for three years from the age of eighteen. From 1963 to 1966 he attended the Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts. He had great success at the contemporary art biennials in Berlin and Sydney in spring 2008. Pushwagner received the award for best exhibitor at the Autumn Exhibition 2008. He has been purchased by the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.
